PRE-PRODUCTION: Double page spread analysis

The conventions for this cover which i liked most were the firstly the colour scheme, a rather mature and simplistic sense of colour where the black and gold blend elegantly together, the massive image on the left page draws great attention to the person who this is representing alongside the smaller image in the top right of the right page, of which blends in wonderfully with the page sending off a vibe of mystery.

The placement of the text seems greatly positioned aswell as the mixture of the white and gold used on the texts obviously used to direct your eyes across the pages, making the reader see everything that is on both pages.

I chose this magazine double page spread also because of the colours, once again simple black and white creating a relaxing setting on the eyes, the design going through the middle is a cool creative look, dividing the page, aswell the smart little slur in the top left corner relating to the central character on the page " Jay Z " also referred to as Hova, they created a smart play on words by making " Game Hova ".

The celebrity centralized massive across both pages is the most attention drawing across the whole thing letting the audience know who this is about easliy.

The simple placement of the text works well as it cooperated by working its way around the character and linking in negatively with the information box in the top right corner of the page.

The final double page spread is a one from vibe magazine focusing its way around a massive music star Bruno Mars, the massive picture takes up one side, the photo has excellent lighting with a smooth relaxing tone, the smart use of the text colour to match the photo's background is an excellent way to draw the audiences attention.

The text has a mixture of big paragraphs upon sections of information which sends off a great mix suggesting there is something for everyone to read.
